About Benjamin Moore
Founded in 1886 in Brooklyn, NY, by Benjamin Moore alongside his brother WIlliam. A subsidiary, Benjamin Moore & Co Limited was founded in Canada in 1906, and has been operating here since then. The Benjamin Moore head office is located in Montvale, New Jersey, The Canadian Head Office is located in Toronto.
Benjamin Moore currently owns Insl-X®, Coronado® and Lenmar®. In 2008, Benjamin Moore acquired Insl-X, which includes field-marking paint, masonry coatings, specialty primers, swimming pool paint and traffic paint. Benjamin Moore also manufactures and markets commercial-use enamels, epoxies and other specialty coatings under the Corotech line.
