3M Super 77 Multipurpose Spray Adhesive

3M's general-purpose spray adhesive — a fast-tacking, low-soak formula that bonds a wide range of lightweight materials without soaking through and warping them.

On a job site it earns its keep for holding masking film and poly sheeting in place, tacking down stencils and templates, mounting light board and foam, and bonding fabric, felt, insulation and paper.

How to use it

• Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of dust and grease
• Shake well, hold 15–20 cm from the surface and apply a light, even mist — a heavy coat bonds worse, not better
• Let it flash off until tacky, then join the parts and press firmly across the whole surface
• Coat one side for a temporary bond, both sides for a permanent one
• Mask off anything nearby — overspray drifts further than you expect

Safety

Extremely flammable aerosol. Use only with adequate ventilation, keep away from heat, sparks, open flame and pilot lights, and do not spray near anyone who is smoking. Store below 50°C and never puncture or incinerate the can.
