Custom Paint Colour Matching

Trying to touch up a wall but can't find the original can? Fell in love with a colour that isn't on a Benjamin Moore chip? We can match it.

We scan your sample with one of the most accurate spectrophotometers on the market to generate a precise colour formula, then our staff manually fine-tune and confirm the match by eye before it goes in the can. Turnaround depends on the colour — some, like many whites, can be mixed and ready while you wait. Others take more time to dial in, so please plan for at least an hour, and a bit longer during busy periods.

What to Bring In

• A physical sample of the colour — if it's cut from a painted wall, aim for at least 2" across. The bigger the sample, the better the match.
• If you're matching a competitor's paint chip, bring the chip or just the name and brand — we carry most major fan decks in-store.

Please note: matches to touch-up areas painted years ago can't be guaranteed exact, as both sheen and colour shift over time.

Can you match a competitor's paint colour?

Yes — we have formulas in our system for most major brands, including Behr, Cloverdale, Sherwin-Williams, and Dulux. In some cases we may still ask for a physical chip to match more accurately.

Can I just touch up a wall instead of repainting the whole thing?

It depends on how picky you are. We can get a very accurate colour match, but there will likely still be some variance between the sheen, paint, and colour once it dries next to the existing coat. It may be fine for your wall — but for the most consistent look, our recommendation is to paint corner to corner rather than spot touch-ups.

How perfect is the colour match?

We're always very accurate, but we never guarantee a 100% match to an existing wall. Aging, sun exposure, and the history of the original paint all affect how close a match can get.
