Golmex Concrete Plaster - Meoded Calgary

Golmex™ is a high quality Portland cement composed of lime, graded silica sand and admixtures to create the appearance of polished concrete on interior and exterior wall surfaces. Golmex's pre-mixed dry powder substrate is formulated for superb adhesion, workability and durability. A wide range of textures can be achieved with Golmex™, including the natural look of concrete and textured finishes. Golmex™ comes in a standard color of natural cement.

• Type: Portland cement / lime concrete-look plaster
• Coverage: Quart (2 lb): 3.2–5.6 sq ft; Gallon (10 lb): 16–28 sq ft; 5 Gal. Pail (50 lb): 80–140 sq ft — at 1/8" thickness, 2 coats
• Dry Time: Minimum 12 hours before the second coat; working time approximately 1 hour once mixed
• Cure Before Sealing: Minimum 48 hours
• VOC: Low VOC / Eco-Friendly
• Number of Coats: 2 standard; 3 thin coats recommended for exterior brown-coat applications

Recommended System

• New drywall: Prime with PVA Primer, then 1 coat of Meoded Quartz Primer.
• Existing surfaces with sheen: Sand, prime with a multi-purpose primer such as Insl-X Stix Bonding Primer, then Quartz Primer.
• Seal: After a minimum 48-hour cure, protect with Stain Defense 'Natural Look' Sealer.
• Optional colour wash: Layer Velature Glaze over the cured plaster for a semi-transparent, multi-tone finish.
