Quartz Primer

Meoded Quartz Primer is a preparatory base coat formulated for use ahead of Meoded decorative plaster and wall finish applications, promoting even absorption and adhesion.

Specifications

• Type: Water-based, 100% acrylic, quick-drying textured primer
• Coverage: Quart: 75–125 sq ft; Gallon: 300–500 sq ft; 14 L bucket: 1,200–2,000 sq ft (varies with surface porosity)
• Dry Time: Minimum 3–5 hours before applying plaster
• VOC: <50 g/L
• Application Temperature: 50–95°F; avoid high humidity or rain expected within 24 hours

Recommended System

Quartz Primer is the standard prep coat ahead of all Meoded interior and exterior decorative plasters — including Concretta FS, Vega Plaster, Tonachino Firenze, Marmorino Tintoretto, Marmorino Palladino, Intonaco Palladino, Marmorino Intonaco, Moroccan Clay, Golmex Concrete Plaster, and Stucco Lamundo — providing the texture and adhesion the heavier plaster materials need.

• New drywall: Prime first with PVA Primer, then apply 1 coat of Quartz Primer.
• New wood or glossy surfaces: Prime first with a multi-purpose primer such as Insl-X Stix Bonding Primer, then apply 1 coat of Quartz Primer.
• Existing surfaces with sheen: Sand until dust-free, prime with a multi-purpose primer, then apply Quartz Primer.
