Concretta FS - Meoded Calgary

Concretta FS is a natural microcement plaster designed for wet and humid areas such as showers, tub surrounds, backsplashes, and countertops. It has superb adhesion and can be applied directly over tile and marble surfaces. Ideal for both interior and exterior surfaces.

• Type: Natural microcement (concrete-effect) plaster
• Coverage: Gallon (10 lb): 16–20 sq ft; 5 Gal. Pail (50 lb): 80–100 sq ft — at 1/8" thickness, 2 coats
• Dry Time: Minimum 12 hours between coats
• Cure Before Sealing: Minimum 72 hours
• Number of Coats: 2, applied with a stainless steel trowel or spatula
• Working Time: 45 minutes to 1.5 hours once mixed — only mix what you will use

Recommended System

Concretta FS is a finish coat plaster only — it is not waterproof on its own and always needs the right prep and, in wet areas, a sealing system.

• New drywall: Prime with PVA Primer, let dry, then apply 1 coat of Meoded Quartz Primer (3–5 hrs dry time).
• New wood or glossy surfaces: Prime with a multi-purpose primer such as Insl-X Stix Bonding Primer, let dry, then apply 1 coat of Quartz Primer.
• Existing surfaces with sheen: Sand until dust-free, prime with a multi-purpose primer, then apply 1 coat of Quartz Primer.
• Existing flat surfaces: Apply Quartz Primer only.
• Over tile or marble (shower): No primer needed — clean grout lines and apply Concretta FS directly.
• Over drywall/backing board (shower): Waterproof the substrate first, then apply 1 coat of Quartz Primer.
• Wet areas — vertical surfaces: Shower walls, tub surrounds and backsplashes are sealed with PlasterGuard alone — 3 coats minimum, 4 for best results, rolled on with a foam roller.
• Wet areas — horizontal surfaces: Shower floors and pans, bench seats, niche shelves and countertops also need PlasterSeal Plus over a diluted coat of PlasterGuard. These surfaces hold standing water and take foot traffic, so Meoded specifies a urethane topcoat. If your job is walls only, you do not need PlasterSeal Plus.
• Dry areas: Seal after a minimum 72-hour cure with a penetrating sealer such as Stain Defense 'Natural Look' Sealer.

Recommended for installation by a professional experienced with plaster systems (Venetian or concrete plasters). Use eye protection and a breathing apparatus when sanding, and keep the room well ventilated.
